Tim Newman - Managing Director
Tim was formerly Chief Executive of national IFA Park Row. Having founded Park Row in 1998 Tim played an integral role in building the business, its subsequent AIM flotation and eventual sale to a mutual insurer. Prior to this, Tim had many years of experience as a financial adviser and senior sales manager, with a track record of developing successful, profitable teams of advisers.
Co-founder of Sense in 2007, Tim has overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the network, and works extensively with AR principals in helping them to achieve their business aspirations.
John Netting - Compliance Director
John started in the industry as an adviser before moving into a compliance role with Financial Options network in 1998. Following acquisition of Financial Options by Misys (Sesame) John managed the combined Business Monitoring Unit, and progressed to Compliance Projects Development. John subsequently joined Park Row as Compliance Director in 2002, a role he fulfilled until leaving the company in 2005.
Co-founder of Sense in 2007, John has overall responsibility for the network’s compliance functions and the compliant use of technology across the business.
Threesixty Services LLP - Corporate Director
Threesixty Services LLP was formed in 2003 and is a market leader in the provisions of complaince services to the IFA sector. A significant shareholder in Sense, Threesixty also hold the position of Corporate Director and are currently represented at board meetings by Phil Young, a Threesixty Partner.
Threesixty provide valuable strategic input and guidance at board level, and provide technical support, research and case review function for all Sense members.
Leanne Williams - Company Secretary
Having attained an Honours degree in Law at Manchester University, Leanne joined Sense as Company Secretary in June 2007. She has since gone on to complete the Legal Practice Course at Chester College of Law, achieving a Diploma with Commendation.
Leanne’s responsibilities as Operations Manager and Company Secretary include maintaining and updating Statutory Company Records, together with the production of Management and Financial Information for the network and its members.
John Painter - Business Development Manager
John joined the industry as a financial adviser and has since forged a successful career revolving around the training, coaching and development of advisers, sales management and staff. He has held a number of senior roles, including Head of Training and Training & Competence at Millfield Partnership.
As part of his role, John is responsible for the provision and management of T&C Supervision across the network, and development of Intelliflo useage amongst advisers and AR firms. Additionally, John works with AR principals and product providers to design and implement effective bespoke training and development initiatives.
Graham Gledhill - IFA Recruitment and Progression
Graham has 30 years of business management experience. He joined the financial services sector in 1993 with Friends Provident, subsequently joining a national IFA business in 2003 to successfully develop their Manchester presence.
Joining Sense in January 2008, Graham’s areas of responsibility include the recruitment of IFAs, and supporting new start AR firms. He heads up ‘Sense IFA’ – a trading style of the network designed for individual advisers who may wish to move to AR status in the future.

Michael Jeffs - Relationship Manager
Mike joined the Sense team in November 2009. Prior to this he spent almost 10 years with Tenet Group (M&E and Interdependence networks), most recently as Support and Development Manager for the North of England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. He has worked in Financial Services since 1986.
Based in Northumberland, Mike’s primary role is to manage and build Sense’s presence in the North of the UK. His experience and skills are invaluable in this role, providing active assistance to existing AR Firms and helping to attract new member firms into the network.
